VIDEO: Two years after, Sanusi, Ganduje ‘reunite’ in Abuja

Kano State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and the former Emir of Kano, Khalifa Muhammadu Sanusi II, on Monday met at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Khalifa Sanusi who was dethroned in 2020, met Ganduje for the first time since the action was taken, on Monday.

In a short clip capturing their meeting at the airport lounge, Khalifa Sanusi and Ganduje could be seen shaking hands, the latter grinned.

Those present when they met include, Govs of Kebbi, Jigawa and Zamfara State.

The governor had removed the monarch on March 9, 2020, over what he described as “total disrespect to lawful instructions from the office of the governor”.

Muhammadu Sanusi was also banished from Kano and sent to Loko, a remote community in Nasarawa State, while the expenses of the emirate under him were probed.
