Sheikh Khalil emerges Kano ADC gubernatorial candidate

A renowned Islamic scholar , Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil has emerged as gubernatorial candidate on the platform of Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kano State
Solacebase reports that Sheikh Khalil, who emerged unopposed as affirmative candidate during a special unveiling ceremony on Sunday, will battle for the top most political seat in Kano alongside candidates of other political parties.
While presenting Sheikh Khalil with ADC gubernatorial nomination form at Mumbayya House, in Kano, National Chairman of the party, Chief Ralph Okay Nwosu declared that Sheikh Khalil was affirmed to bear the ADC flag in next year’s gubernatorial election because of his integrity and credibility.
The national Chairman who recounted the truth of the party on sincerity and nobility, stressed that Sheikh Khalil epitomizes competence under which ADC will reclaim Kano.
He assured of readiness of ADC to fulfil 35 percent female gender affirmative on political appointment and build strength in youth to achieve their ultimate dreams in life.
Chief Ralph challenged the youths and women to remain steadfast against the provocation and intimidation of the bigger political parties, just has he reminded them that money bags politics will not solve their needs.
While expressing regret over what he considered as decade of wasteful resources and misplacement of priority, Chief Ralph challenged Nigerians to reject the deception of ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which he claimed has not moved Nigeria to land of destiny.
On the chances of ADC to claim power from the super players, the National Chairman said Nigerians have had enough of the two major parties and had since made up their minds to reject them for something new.
He said ADC will continue to build confidence of Nigerian youths and women to slam surprise on the bigger party in 2023 general election.
Addressing party faithful after receiving the party’s endorsment, the ADC gubernatorial candidate, Sheikh Khalil promised to entrench justice and rule of law as guiding principles, if elected as Governor of Kano state.
Sheikh Khalil, a former gubernatorial aspirants of PDP, before moving to APC and later defected to ADC, pledged to place priority on education, health, youth development and economic growth, vowed to take over power in Kano.
ADC National Chairman earlier inaugurated the party’s executive members of the North West, with former commissioner for Finance in Kano and Professor of accounting, Prof. Kabiru Dandago as National vice Chairman and Chairman Northwest zone, among other.
