PDP: Muhuyi Magaji clinches Kano North Senatorial ticket, drops guber ambition
A Kano gubernatorial aspirant of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, Barr. Muhuyi Magaji Rimin-Gado has clinched , Kano North Senatorial ticket of the party after withdrawing from the governorship race.
Rimingado a former Chairman, Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission was said to have withdrawn from the governorship race after stakeholders in the party prevailed on him to accept the Senatorial ticket.
Solacebase reports that the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday conducted its governorship primaries nationwide.
However, the party is holding a parallel primary in Kano as a faction of the party recognized by the court, led by Shehu Wada Sagagi is conducting the primary at the party secretariat while the other faction with the support of the party National Vice Chairman, Northwest, Bello Hayatu Gwarzo holds the primary at Sani Abacha Youth Centre.
Muhuyi Rimin-Gado’s Personal Assistant , Nafiu Danlami confirmed to Solacebase on Wednesday night, that the former anti-graft Czar has accepted to vie for the Kano North Senatorial seat at the general election in 2023.
