NNPP: Shekarau clinches Kano Central Senatorial ticket

Former Kano state governor, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau has emerged winner of the Kano Central Senatorial seat under the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).Kano

In an election held in Gezawa local government area, one of the local government under the senatorial district, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau scored 516 votes to secure the ticket of the zone for the party.

Shekarau, who is the current Senator representing the district at the national assembly in his acceptance speech, appreciated God almighty for making the exercise successful.

Solacebase reports that Malam Ibrahim Shekarau recently dumped the All Progressive Congress for the NNPP.
