The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), on Sunday, predicted that there would be extreme heat for the next three days in some parts of the country.
The agency in its high-temperature outlook signed by the Director-General, Prof. Mansur Matazu, said most parts of the Northern cities are expected to record temperatures between 35°C to 40°C.
Although, it said parts of Kano, Jigawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Yobe Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, , and Borno are expected to experience temperatures greater than 40°C, it stated that parts of Kebbi, Sokoto, Katsina, Kano, Dutse, Nguru, and Maiduguri indicate chances of experiencing high thermal discomfort starting from Sunday.

It further said parts of Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina, Kano, Jigawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Yobe, and Borno are expected to experience temperatures greater than 40°C.on May 31,2022
According to it, Niger, Plateau, FCT, Kwara, Kogi, Benue, Nasarawa, Taraba, and Adamawa are expected to record temperatures between 35°C to 40°C.
