The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has announced the choice of Barr. Ladipo Johnson as the running mate to its presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Johnson hails from Lagos State, South-West Nigeria and contested for the office of governor.
Although in a BBC Hausa interview by Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso , monitored by Solacebase, the presidential candidate said Ladipo Johnson is a dummy nominee running mate to beat the deadline issued by INEC for the submission of candidates name.
He said this is due to the opportunity of the party to replace him from now to 40 days thereabout.

NNPP made the announcement through its official Twitter handle, @nnpphqabuja1, which has also been confirmed by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Major Agbor.
The party wrote: “Road to 2023: Bar Ladipo Johnson is the Vice Presidential candidate of our great party.”
Solacebase reports that the All Progressive Congress filed in a dummy running mate also for the party vice presidential candidate, Kabiru Masari and Labour Party with Doyin Okupe.
