Jigawa APC senatorial candidate dies

Jigawa State All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Candidate, Tijjani Ibrahim Kiyawa is dead.
Kiyawa, a former member of the House of Representatives for Kiyawa/Dutse federal constituency died at a Chinese hospital on Saturday.
He was reportedly admitted at an Abuja hospital for a lung infection but was flown to China for further treatment when his condition deteriorated.
A condolence message issued by Habibu Nuhu Kila, Special Adviser, Media and Public Relations to Governor Muhammadu Badaru, on Sunday, confirmed the death of the APC Jigawa Senatorial Candidate in the 2023 general elections.

According to the statement, the governor said the death of Tijjani Ibrahim Kiyawa is a great loss not only to his family but the Muslim Ummah.
‘’He described late Alhaji Tijjani Ibrahim Kiyawa as a loyal and dependable politician who contributed immensely to the political development of the country,’’ the statement said.
‘’Governor Badaru pray to Almighty Allah to grant him an eternal rest and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.’’
