Group faults CSO’s attempt to slander Jamilu Gwamna

A Civil Society Organisation (CSO), The Grassroots Mobilisers for Good Governance has cautioned another civil organisation group known as Integrity Watch over what it called attempts to slander the good image of Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, a philanthropist and businessman per excellence.

The group said Integrity Watch lied over its petition contained in a statement signed by its national coordinator, Mr. Olowobusoye Esolaye and its zonal leader, Mr. Kamilu Abubakar Gwamna to the presidential candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Atiku Abubakar that Dr Jamilu Gwamna should not be trusted.

A statement issued on Thursday by The Grassroots Mobilisers for Good Governance, National Organising Secretary, Ismail Mohammed Baba said Dr Gwamna is a highly respected politician and philanthropist who has paid his dues and still doing wonderful things to empower youths across Gombe State and Nigeria.

The statement said that though politics was already being played but said it should not be played with the hard earned integrity of big personality like the likes of Dr Gwamna, the Sardauna of Gombe.

‘’Baba said “we are aware that Dr Gwamna is amongst the few persons with huge investments on youth having sent many youths abroad on scholarship and empowered thousands of youths through employment.’’

“Those so-called integrity watch folks are being sponsored to spoil the good relations between the former vice president Abubakar and Dr Gwamna and to ensure that PDP fails”
