Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has approved the appointment of the Managing Director, Kano Road Transport Agency (KAROTA), Baffa Babba Dan Agundi as Acting Managing Director, Kano State Consumer Protection Council (KSCPC), pending the appointment of a substantive Managing Director.
Solacebase reports that the former Managing Director of the council, General Idris Bello Dambazau (Rtd), recently resigned his appointment after a running battle on corruption allegations with the state anti-graft agency.
This was announced in a statement issued by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor , Abba Anwar, on Monday.
The statement said the appointment is with immediate effect.
‘’As Acting MD, Baffa will look into all corners of the Commission, both operational and others, with the view to putting things in good shape, before a substantive Managing Director is appointed,’’ the statement said.
