Four Kano lawmakers make U-turn, dump NNPP, return to APC

Member of the Kano state House of Assembly representing Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso’s constituency, Madobi, Hon. Kabiru Yusuf Isma’il has defected from the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) to the ruling All  Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano state.

Solacebase had reported the defection of Deputy Speaker, Kano State House of Assembly , Zubairu Hamza Massu to NNPP as well as other three lawmakers that include Abdullahi Yaryasa (Tudun Wada), Muhammad Butu- Butu (Tofa/Rimin -Gado) and Kabiru Ismail (Madobi).

A statement issued on Wednesday by the commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba revealed that member representing Dawakin Kudu local government, Hon. Mu’azzam El-Yakubu has also dumped Kwankwaso’s NNPP for the APC.

The statement said the gale of defection has recently swept across the NNPP, particularly members of the state and National Assembly.

‘’Already member of the state legislature representing Bagwai/Shanono, Isa Ali rejoined the APC days after decamping to the NNPP,’’ the statement said.

‘’Garba’s colleague at the assembly representing Dambatta state constituency, Hon. Murtala Kore also renounced his membership of the NNPP to remain in the APC.’’
