The first lady ,Aisha Buhari on Thursday joined other travelers on board Kaduna to Abuja train, for the first time she made a long journey by any other mode of transportation, apart from air travel, a source said.
It was gathered that the move was meant to encourage more Nigerians to use that mode of transportation.
She was said to have arrived Kaduna from Kano by air and then decided to travel by train to Abuja.
The president’s wife sat next to her younger brother, Mahmud Ahmad and a few aides.
It was revealed that the train left Kaduna at 4 pm and arrived in Abuja at past 6 pm.

Sources said Aisha Buhari and members of her immediate family have travelled by planes provided by the presidential air fleet, since her husband came to power in 2015.
