Chairman Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State ,Prof. Yusuf Muhammad Sabo has been suspended by the Council Councilors for three months.
Speaking to newsmen on Wednesday in Bichi, the leader of the Council, Muhammad Rabo Umar Tinki, Councilor representing Kwamarawa ward, said the suspension became imperative in view of gross incompetence of the Chairman.
According to him, the LGA Chairman had failed to discharge his constitutional duties in the local government.
Tinki added that the Councilors had been under pressure and fail to defend themselves from their constituents because the Chairman had not performed his duties to develop the Local Government Area.

He added that the suspension followed an unanimous decision taken by the council after due deliberations in the meeting they summoned recently.
“Now he will serve the suspension and the committee set up to investigate the matter will submit its reports and recommendations in due course,” he said
