Kaduna Train Attack: Abductors release Bank of Agric MD
The Managing Director (MD) of the Bank of Agriculture, Alwan Ali-Hassan, has regained freedom from the terrorists who bombed the Abuja-Kaduna train.
Recalls that terrorists had on Monday, March 28, bombed the Kaduna-bound train carrying over 362 passengers.
The Nigerian Railway Corporation, NRC, while confirming the incident, said about 392 passengers were on board the ill-fated train.
According to the NRC, while about 182 have safely reunited with their families, about 162 other passengers are either abducted by the gunmen or missing in the forest.
Mr Hassan is among many people missing.
A close family source told DAILY NIGERIAN that Mr Hassan regained his freedom on Wednesday after paying unspecified amount of money as ransom.
However, a very close source confirmed to Solacebase that over N100m was paid to secure the release of the bank chief.
Meanwhile A Director with National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Abdul Isa Kofar Mata has died in the terrorists attack on Abuja- Kaduna passengers train on Monday night.
Solacebase reports that Abdul Isa Kofar Mata was among the over 970 passengers on the train when it was attacked as many as still missing while some are at hospital receiving treatment over injuries sustained.
