Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation to hold its 8th annual lecture series in Kano

The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation is expected to hold its 8th Annual Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Lecture on Leadership and Good Governance tagged “Reviving the Northern Traditional Institutions: Imperative for Peace and Security in Northern Nigeria”.

Solacebase reports that the lecture series is held annually where experts, analysts, policy makers and stakeholders converge to discuss topical issues and proffer solutions to them.

According to a statement issued by the Foundation Director General/ CEO Engr Abubakar Gambo Umar and sent to Solacebase on Wednesday, this 2022 Annual Lecture and Awards will have as the Special Guest of Honour, the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, under the Chairmanship of, Simon Bako Lalong, Governor of Plateau State and Chairman, Northern States Governors Forum and Kano State Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje will serve as the Chief Host.

The statement said the event will hold at the Coronation Hall of the Kano State Government House on Tuesday 18th, January, 2022.

‘’The Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage (rtd) , will be the Guest Speaker at the event. Other eminent Nigerians who will discuss and proffer solutions on the theme include; Justice Ishaq Bello, Former Chief Justice of the FCT, Professor Nancy Agbe, Former Vice Chancellor University of Mkar, Benue State and Prof. Usman Abubakar of the Department of Local Government and Development Studies Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria,’’ the statement said.

‘’Prominent personalities who have made immense contributions to the development of the country will also be honoured at the event.’’
