Kano gubernatorial aspirant A. A Zaura has expressed readiness to support Kannywood film industry to surmount its bedeviling challenges for practitioners to compete favourably with global counterparts.
Solacebase reports that AA Zaura made the promise at Kannywood Celebrities’ Forum event organized to honour him, held over the weekend in Kano.
Alhaji Abdussalam Abdulkarim AA Zaura said he would use every means at his disposal to harmonized the indigenous Hausa movie industry known as Kannywood and also to set the industry on the right path for the benefit of generality of people.
” there’s urgent need to uplift the industry with the needed inducement” he said.
In a remark, the event organiser and chairman Kannywood Celebrity Forum TY Shabaan said the industry is very much ready to cooperate with AA Zaura and anyone who come forward to move the industry forward in terms of revenue generation and acquiring modern logistic of film making of international standard.
“Presently, Kannywood is facing enormous challenges hampering its development” He said.
‘’A surefooted person is highly needed that will rescue the industry and provide conducive atmosphere for training and re training the industry stakeholders,
Aminu Shareef Ahlan, who’s among the event key organizers said AA Zaura is a formidable man of integrity who is greatly among his peers in view of his philanthropic endevours.
Yakubu Muhammad, a Kannywood actor said the industry needs channels of revenue generation in terms of having modern Cinema Houses all over, and training of upcoming actors the art of making modern movies.
” AA Zaura is fit and up to the task of fulfilling the pledges” he said.
Among the Kannywood actors that grace the event includes; Alhaji Kabiru Maikaba, Ibrahim Mandawari, Yakubu Muhammad, Ladidi Fagge, Kamal S Alkali, Salisu S. Fulani, Mansura Isah, Baballe Hayatu, Samira Ahmad, Aminu Shareef Ahlan and Tijjani Faraga among others.
