Court orders NBTE to unseal Mangal’s property in Abuja

A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory has ordered the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to unseal Murjanatu House situated at Plot 1405 Cadastral A 05, Maitama Abuja belonging to  D. B Mangal Nig. Ltd, pending the hearing and determination of the originating motion.

Solacebase reports that the Applicant in the suit D. B. Mangal Nig. Ltd. had dragged the first Respondent, Attorney General of the Federation, the second Respondent, State Security Service, the third Respondent, Inspector General of Police and the fourth Respondent, National Board for Technical Education to court over illegal trespass of its property , Murjanatu House situated at Plot 1405 Cadastral A 05, Maitama Abuja by the fourth Respondent.

The order was granted upon hearing a motion ex-parte filed on November 19th 2021 and upon listening to Barr. Ahmed Raji SAN with Peter Nwatu of Counsel to Applicant.

In the ex-parte order granted on November, 25th by Justice Yusuf Halilu, the court directed the fourth defendant to grant unhindered access to the Applicant with respect to Murjanatu House situated at Plot 1405 Cadastral A 05, Maitama Abuja.

The court similarly, ordered the parties in the suit to maintain status quo which had existed before the unlawful seizure of the Applicant’s property by the respondent.

Justice Halilu, then adjourned the substantive suit to December, 13th , 2021 for hearing.
