Kano vows to deal with vandals of government projects

Kano State Government has vowed to deal decisively with vandals of government projects urging residents to always protect such in their various environments.

The State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, stated  this, on Monday during the inspection of completed and ongoing projects in Ungogo and  Dawakin Tofa Council areas.

This was contained in a statement issued by the ministry Public Relations Officer, Farouk Ghali Masanawa, on Tuesday.

The statement said the Commissioner represented by the Director Planning Research and Statistics in the ministry, Alhaji Ismaila Musa noted that the inspection was aimed at evaluating the level of progress on the projects.

In the statement, Alhaji Murtala Garo pledged government commitment to completion of all the projects across the 44 local government of the state before the end of the present administration tenure.

The statement listed the completed projects inspected to include the renovation of Chairman’s office, Ungogo local government secretariat , Health clinic at Rummawa town in ungogo local government area.

It added that in Dawkin Tofa local government area the team inspected the renovation of District Head wife’s wing and General renovation of Dawakin Tofa local government secretariat.

According to the statement in their remarks, the two local government chairmen ungogo Engr. Garba Abdullahi Ramat, and Dawakin Tofa local government Alhaji Ado Tambai kwa appreciated the state Governor Abdullahi umar Ganduje and Commissioner for local governments Alhaji murtala sule Garo for their approval to execute the projects in the council areas.
