Emir of Ilorin honours prominent indigenes with traditional titles

The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari has honour prominent sons of the emirate with traditional titles.

Solacebase reports that among them is an inspiring philanthropist, Engineer Kale Kawu Agaka as Dan Iya of Ilorin Emirate,  the elder brother to the Governor of Kwara State, Dr Alimi Abdulrasaq as Matawale; former Chairman of PDP, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje as Tafida.

A statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Emir, Mallam AbdulAzeez Arowona, in llorin said the recipients have contributed immensely to the development of the emirate.

Others are a seasoned entrepreneur, AlhajiMuhammad Yakubu Olayiwola Gobir as Madaki; and the promoter of the proposed Darul-kitab University, Sheikh Abdulkadir Oba Solagberu as Mallam Ubandoma.

Also, others are Sheikh Sulyman Onikijipa Al Miskin Billahi as Grand Mufti of Ilorin Emirate; Sheikh Yakub Aliagan as Sarkin Mallami; Alhaji Soliu Mustapha as Turaki; and Alhaji Sakariyau Onimago as Shetima Of Ilorin Emirate.
