A nongovernmental organization, Fitilar Jama’ar Kano in conjunction with Sha’aban Sharada Foundation have facilitated the engagement of 2,760 youth into different jobs to become self-reliant and productive.
The program coordinator, Khalipa Mustapha Dan-Kadai told Solacebase on Saturday, at the venue of the exercise said the program under the N-Power initiatives of the federal government, will give preference to engaging the youth in various sectors such as; Teaching, Health, Technology, and farming.
” The program was scouted from the federal government under the able supervision of Hon. Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada which runs at his foundation headquarters in Sharada as zonal epicenter representing Kano emirate.” Dankadai added.
He explained that the other areas in which the screening projects are conducted include: Karaye Special Primary School in Karaye, Bichi computer center in Bichi emirate, Women center at Gaya emirate, while Rano emancipation center at Rano emirate respectively.
According to him, the center would assist the youths with free biometric verification so as to ensure hitch-free registration for the N-Power job.
He noted that the beneficiaries were selected based on the youths’ commitment to serving their community and their willingness to undergo the program.
Khalipa Mustapha Dankadai urged the youth to come and reap the immense benefit embedded in the program which is slated to close on Wednesday 23rd June 2021.
