NANS affirms appointment of caretaker committee for NAKSS

The National Association of Nigerian Students ( NANS) on Friday affirmed Comrade Hamza Musa Uba as newly appointed caretaker of the National Association of Kano State Students national body.

This was contained in a statement issued by NANS Vice President (NATIONAL AFFAIRS) Comr. Yazeed Tanko Muhammad on Friday and sent to Solacebase.

The statement said the dissolved President is no longer a student in any tertiary institution of learning in Nigeria and Diaspora.

‘’The dissolved President turned the association into a political organization for a campaign as the students’ unionism has nothing to do with political affairs, ‘’said the statement.

According to the statement, the dissolved President and associates use the association as their source of income. That is the reason why they sold the integrity of our students.’’

‘’It is of paramount importance for students that cause unnecessary alarm and hate speech to understand they’re not doing good to their future and that of Kano State students in general, I am respectively calling the attention of those claiming an unauthorized position to disassociate themselves from that perception. As they’re dissolved based on the provision of the Constitution that.’’

‘’I will also urge  NANS members, particularly the Zonal Leadership of Zone A and other Students leaders which to some extent played a vital role in poisoning the minds of gullible followers should also be extra cautious and they should seize their uncooked interest from NAKSS political activities.’’

‘’Furthermore, we appreciate the effort of Kano State Government in rescuing the integrity of students and restoring the image of our dear Association (NAKSS National Body).’’

‘’Lastly, the general public should patiently await the decision of the Kano State Government and all other relevant stakeholders as the date for a new election will be announced in due course, and we all believe in the capacity and integrity of the new caretakers which we entrusted  with the fate of NAKSS .’’
