Solacebase recalls that former Kano State Governor, Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso in an interview recently with the BBC Hausa Service had accused Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of trying to impose.

Kwankwaso said it was a known fact that in Kano, the PDP is divided with those in the Kwankwasiyya group and the other group allegedly belonging to the state government.

He accused Aminu Tambuwal of working against the Kwankwasiyya movement, by purchasing a form for the position of National vice-chairman Northwest allotted to Kano in the congress for Senator Bello Hayatu Gwarzo.

Also, a chieftain of PDP in Kaduna State, Alhaji Adamu Musa Lere, had alleged that Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, who is nursing a presidential ambition is trying to create division in the party’s north-west zone in order to protect his interest and ambition in the forthcoming 2023 general Elections.

Mr Lere, in a statement, said a consensus was reached at the party’s northwest zonal caucus meeting to cede the (National vice-chairman Northwest, Zonal Woman leader northwest, National Ex-officio national and zonal Ex-Offico) to kano state.

‘’However, the governor, who was absent at the meeting, is allegedly deviating from the agreement by purchasing a nomination form for the office of the National Zonal vice chairman for a party chieftain in Kano state, which he alleged is aimed at creating division among the party’s ranks in the Northwest,’’ said the statement.

When contacted on the allegation by Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Spokesman of Sokoto State Governor, Mallam Muhammad Bello said Aminu Tambuwal has denied the allegation of purchasing a form for Senator Bello Hayatu Gwarzo.

Speaking to Solacebase, Kano PDP Chairman, Alhaji Shehu Sagagi said hoodlums attacked the venue of the congress after seeing the indication that they were almost coasting to victory.
