Kano state government has reiterated its commitment to collaborate with civil society organizations including development partners and international organizations to move the state forward.
Special Adviser to Kano State Governor on NGOs, Hajiya Yardada Maikano Bichi made this known on Saturday at a news conference organized by her office in collaboration with Community Service Health and Research Initiative on the sideline of World Non-governmental organization Day 2021.
Solacebase reports that World NGO Day is celebrated on February 27 across the globe to raise awareness of the importance of NGOs or Non-Governmental Organizations.
Hajiya Yardada Maikano Bichi said since setting aside the day in 2010, Kano is joining the celebration for the first time this year
The Special adviser also said parts of the objectives of the day is to celebrate the successes of more than 10 million NGOs worldwide and to allow many small grassroots organizations to gain the recognition they deserve.
‘’Hence the state collaboration with domestic and international NGOs so as to contribute to the socio-economic development of the state, ‘’said the Special Adviser.
Hajiya YarDada commended the activities of the Civil Society Organizations and NGOs especially the Community Health and Research Initiative CHR for supporting Kano state government.
