Kano Pillars Football Club Petit winger cum attacker Auwalu Ali Malan aka Action said that he is optimistic this time around, Kano Pillars will be crowned champions at the end of this season 2020/21 Nigerian Premier League Football (NPFL).
Auwal Malan, whose exquisite 23rd-minute free-kick gave his team their first away victory this season on Monday against Ifeanyi Ubah FC, in Match Day 09, played at Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, in Port Harcourt at Rivers State, stated that they will leave no stone unturned until they won the coveted prize at the end of the season.
“Am very happy that we started gelling as a team as well as group the chemistry and bond is gathering momentum which is very important in achieving the goal we set for ourselves”.
“For me, the goal against FC Ifeanyi Ubah is a morale booster, which hopefully will turn the tide against my goals drought and uplift the spirit of the team,” Says Ali Malan.
The wing wizard cum attacker, endured a quagmire of goals drought this season, contrary to his 2019/21 season, where he finished with 11 goals and 04 assists.
Action, as he was fondly nicknamed by the teeming fans of Pillars, said despite the league is in week 09 , he opened his goal account on it, his target is to win golden boot by ending the season as a highest goal scorer.
Kano Pillars will host MFM FC, in Match Day 10 against MFM FC of Lagos at Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna. Malam’s goal against Ifeanyi Ubah FC takes Pillars to 04 Position at the summit with 17 points from 09 matches just 04 points adrift set pacers Enyimba FC.
