PHOTOS: Faces at NUJ Kano Correspondents Chapel’s award night

Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kano Correspondents Chapel held its second edition of award/appreciation night on Saturday.

At the events, some patriotic Nigerians were appreciated for their numerous contribution to human and national development.

Solacebase reports that among the awardees were Umar Haladu Sumaila who has been volunteering to control traffic on court road by Zoo road junction for over 20 years.

Others recognized for their contribution in service to humanity are Mansur Sulaiman DK (KAROTA Personnel) , Hauwa EL-Yakub, Fauziya D. Sulaiman, and Mairo Bello Garko.

Those accorded award of excellence are  Kano deputy governor, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, Executive Chairman, Kano Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption, Barr. Muhuyi Magaji Rimin-Gado, Kano Commissioner for Information, Comrade Muhammad Garba, former Speaker Kano House of Assembly and House of Representatives member, Bunkure, Kibiya and Rano federal constituency, Kabiru Alhassan Rurum.

Also, Kano Commissioner of Police, Habu Sani, Director General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami and Chairman, UMZA Foods Nigeria LTD, Alhaji, Mohammad Abubakar Maifata.
