How I traffic Indian Hemp in Kano-Drug peddler

Kano State Police Command has arrested an illicit drug peddler, Kabiru Mahmud aged 21 years at Danbare, Kumbotso Local government area, in possession of 49 bags of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.

Spokesman of the command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, confirmed the arrest to newsmen in Kano on Wednesday.

He explained that on the 24th November 2020, the police operatives of Puff adder while raiding criminal hideouts at Danbare area, arrested the suspect with the items suspected to be Indian hemp.

During interrogation, the suspect said the items in question belong to his father who is the dealer of illicit drugs for over 20.

Kabiru said parts of the methods they employ to avoid arrest include packaging the smuggled India hemp in form of loaves of bread.

DSP Abdullahi Haruna added that on the same date the police command arrested, the suspect’s mother in the absence of his father and the other person who helped in hiding the Indian hemp at Danbare area.
