Kano state government task force on the control and arrest of herbal medicine vendors imploring the use of vulgar words in advertising their products has commenced operations.
The tasks Force Chaired by Commissioner for Health, Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, include the state police command, KAROTA, HISBA, other security agents and health practitioners among others that will arrest and charge herbal medicine vendors to court if found imploring vulgar words in public.
The Executive Secretary, Kano state Private Health Institutions Management Agency PHIMA, Dr Usman Tijjani Aliyu confirmed this to Solacebase on Tuesday.
Dr Aliyu noted that the use of vulgar words to advertise herbal products has become alarming in the society and government would not allow it to continue.

He urged residents to call the following numbers to report those advertising traditional medicine using vulgar words in public so as to apprehend them, 08028591598, 07057704019 and 07033727878.
The Executive Secretary also reminded Barbing and Beauty Salon and also traditional medicine vendors, that are yet to register with the Agency to endeavour to do so to avoid incurring the wrath of the authority.
