The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed 15 senatorial and state bye-elections earlier scheduled to hold in 11 states.
This was confirmed in a statement by INEC Director, Voter Education, Festus Okoye, on Thursday.
The statement said the elections, slated for October 30, were postponed over the current security situation.
It read: ‘’accordingly, the commission has decided to postpone the bye-elections in the six senatorial districts and nine state constituencies.”
