Kano anti-corruption agency arrests deputy LG chairman over land racketeering

Kano state public complaints and anti-corruption commission has arrested Dawakin Tofa Local government deputy chairman Garba Yahaya Labour over alleged land racketeering.

A source at the commission told solacebase.com on Thursday that the council deputy chairman who is charge of land administration in the area is presently undergoing interrogation at the commission’s headquarters.

The source said the arrest was based on complains that lands in the northern  terminus at Dawanau, Dawakin-Tofa local government area  was demarcated into 600 plots and was being sold at 1 million naira each allegedly by the deputy council chairman through proxy ………..details later
