Ibrahim Khaleel’s death a loss to Kano, labour movement, Nigeria- Murtala Garo

Kano State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on Thursday, expressed sadness over the death of National President, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Ibrahim Khaleel Abdulkadir.

Late Ibrahim Khaleel Abdulkadir, who was also the National Treasurer, Nigeria Labour Congress, died on Wednesday night after he slumped and was rushed to the National Hospital Abuja where he was confirmed dead.

Solacebase reports that Comrade Ibrahim Khaleel Abdulkadir, an indigene of Wudil, Wudil Local Government Area of Kano State was until his death a staff of Kano State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

A statement issued and signed by Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo condoled with Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the people of the state, President of NLC Comrade Ayuba Wabba and the deceased immediate family over his demise.

The statement described Ibrahim Khaleel’s death as a great loss to Kano,  labour movement, his family and the entire country.

The statement noted that the death of Ibrahim Khaleel has created a vacuum that would be very difficult to fill in the labour movement.

It added that the deceased contributed to the welfare of local government employees and his struggle in the labour movement cannot be forgotten.

The Commissioner for Local Government in the statement, prayed Allah to forgive Late Ibrahim Khaleel and grant him eternal rest.
