Kano anti-graft Chairman pledges better welfare to staff

Kano State Public Complaints and Anti Corruption Commission Chairman, Barr. Muhuyi Magaji Rimigado

The Chairman Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission Barr Muhuyi Magaji has pledged to enhance the welfare of the staff of the commission in order to strengthen its activities.

He made the pledge today at a send forth reception for the commission’s outgoing Secretary/Legal Adviser Barr Rabi Ibrahim Waya and Director Anti-Corruption Barr Mahmoud Balarabe who were appointed State Directors Legal Drafting and Public Prosecution respectively.

A statement issued by the commission Director Special Assignment, Usman Bello, said the Chairman noted that the staff of the commission were the least paid among Anti-Corruption bodies in the country.

‘’Barr Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado appreciated the tremendous support of the out going staff in taking the commission to current status in the country, ‘’said the statement.

‘’He said as pioneer management when he took over as Chairman, they have displayed commitment and professionalism in undertaking their assignment which strengthen the activities of the commission.’’

While wishing them more successes in their future endeavour, Barr Muhuyi Magaji then announced the appointment of Barr Salisu M. Tahir as the new Secretary/Legal Adviser of the commission.

The statement said in their separate remarks Barr Rabi Ibrahim Waya and Barr Mahmoud Balarabe extolled the leadership virtues of the Chairman  whom they described as team leader.

‘’They noted that Barr Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado raised the commission’s status, as force to reckon with, as the only sub national anti-corruption body in the country.’’

The statement added that the commission Chairman later presented gifts to the celebrants.
