Edo Poll: Obaseki votes at polling unit 19, Oredo ,amidst pandemonium

Gov. Godwin Obaseki on the queue at the polling unit on Saturday

Gov. Godwin Obaseki of Edo State on Saturday casts his vote at the polling unit 19, ward 04, Oredo local government area on Mission road at about 11.40am.

He was on the queue for more than one hour, thirty minutes before he could cast his vote.

Godwin Obaseki  expressed displeasure over conduct of the ongoing governorship election.

The Governor said he expected better planning by the electoral commission.

“I expected that INEC would have prepared better for this election. I waited for one and half hours on the queue before exercising my franchise, it’s a bit disappointing.

“Given that this is a sole day election, I expected a better planning for this election. Card readers were very slow and that’s the situation everywhere.”

Although there was pandemonium as a young man attempting to disrupt the voting process as soon as the Governor entered the unit.
