Enyimba International Football Club alongside Plateau United will hoist Nigeria’s flag in the forthcoming 2020/21 CAF Champions League.
This was confirmed following League Management Company’s decision to release the official 20 teams table of the cancelled 2019/20 NPFL campaign.
There was much controversy of which team between Enyimba and River United alongside Plateau United will represent Nigeria in Africa’s premier club competition following the adoption of (PPG) points per game by the Club Owners Association which was ratified by Nigeria Football Federation, NFF on the 10th of July.
The 2019/20 NPFL season was put on hold after matchday 25 following outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic and was later cancelled.
Plateau United finished as table toppers while Enyimba emerged as runners up.
Meanwhile, Rivers United finished third on the league log and will play in the CAF Confederation Cup with Aiteo Cup holders, Kano Pillars.
