Nigeria records 288 new cases of COVID-19 with 8 deaths

Nigeria has recorded 288 new cases of COVID19 in the country, this according to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, (NCDC).

The centre in a tweet on Monday also announced the death of 8 persons from COVID-19.

It said so far, 44129 cases have been confirmed, from a sample test of  287,532 conducted.

According to the tweet, the 288 new cases reported from 15 states including the FCT are- Lagos (88), Kwara (33), Osun (27), FCT (25), Enugu (25), Abia (20), Kaduna (17), Plateau (13), Rivers (13), Delta (10), Gombe (8), Ogun (4), Oyo (3), Katsina (1), Bauchi (1).

Solacebase reports that 20,663 patients that tested negative have been discharged and 896 deaths recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
