The Police Commissioner in Kano, Alhaji Habu A Sani has challenged newly promoted officers in the command to justify their elevation with more dedication to duty in a professional manner.
A statement signed by the command Spokesman, DSP Abdullahi Haruna on Tuesday said Alhaji Habu Sani stated this while decorating the newly elevated officers.
Solacebase reports that Nine Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) were promoted to the rank of Superintendents of Police (SPs), Four Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) were promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) and Two Hundred and thirty-Nine (239) Inspectors were promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) II.
‘’ Those promoted include SP Ali Madaki of Police Mobile Force 9 Squadron Kano, DSP Abubakar Isah, Personal Assistant (P.A.) to Cp Habu A. Sani, psc and ASP Rakiya Bello, Department of Operations State Headquarters Kano,’’ said the statement.
The statement said the Police Commissioner used the occasion to urged Kano people to ensure blissful and peaceful Sallah celebrations through obedience to the laws and strict compliance to the COVID-19 protocols.
It said delivering a vote of thanks on behalf of the promoted officers, SP Muktar Abubakar Sabiu appreciates the Inspector General of Police IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu and the Police Service Commission for finding them worthy to be promoted to the next rank.
According to the statement he thanks the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 1 Kano AIG Sadiq A. Bello, the Commissioner of Police Kano State Police Command Habu A. Sani, and the Command’s management team for the discipline and guidance received.
He said those promoted are ready to contribute their quota in nation-building and will operate according to the provisions of the law.
