Former Oyo State Governor Senator Abiola Ajimobi has been buried.
The late politician was buried on Sunday at his Oluyole residence in Ibadan in strict compliance with the COVID-19 protocols.
A source said he was buried at the preferred choice of the Ajimobi family though there is litigation on the property.
The burial which took place at 10.05 am according to Islamic rite, had only his wife, children and very close associates in attendance with some Islamic Clerics that include, Alhaji Kunle Sani, Alhaji Muyideen Bello and Chief Imam of Ibadan land, Sheikh Abubakar AbdulGaniyu Agbotomokere.
Some dignitaries present at the burial include Mr Sunday Dare, Minister of Youth and Sports, Sen. Teslim Folarin and Chief Adebayo Adelabu, the APC governorship candidate in the 2019 general election.
The others are Chief Kola Daisi, Chief Kemi Alao-Akala, wife of former Oyo State Gov. Adebayo Alao-Akala, Sen. Abdulfatai Buhari, Rep. Shina Peller, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye and Mr Olamiju Alao-Akala.
Solacebase reports that Senator Abiola Ajimobi died at the age of 70 in Lagos on Thursday.
