Kwara Govt on rescue mission – Speaker

The Speaker, Kwara House of Assembly, Mr Yakubu Danladi, says the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government in Kwara is on a rescue mission to liberate the people from maladministration.

Danladi stated this in llorin on Monday while speaking with newsmen.

According to the speaker, the current administration in the state is laying a strong and better foundation for tomorrow that will bring accelerated development to the state in all spheres of life.

He reaffirmed the commitment of the ninth legislature in the state to continue to enact bills and motions that would lay a solid foundation for a better and more prosperous Kwara.

The speaker said for the vision and mission of the current administration to be accomplished, the support of the people was necessary.

“There is need for all our people to give their total support to the present administration for full realisation of its vision and rescue mission for the development of the state,” Danladi said.

He described the relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government in the state as very cordial, which he noted would facilitate the desired development.

The speaker, however, called on residents of the state to be patient with the government, assuring them that Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq would restore the lost glory of the state. (NAN)
