Education: GHS old students Association commends Gov. Abdulrahman’s initiative

Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq has been lauded over his developmental stride in the educational sector which is the foundation of the development of any society.

The old and present Students of Government High School (GHS) Ilorin, (formerly Ilorin College Ilorin) commended the governor whose administration clocked one year today, Friday, May,29 in a statement signed by General Secretary of the association, Lukman .O. Abdulsalam.

The association appreciated the remodelling of the structural work at Government High School, formerly Ilorin College Ilorin established in 1967.

The group in the message highly commended the initiative of the founder of the institution in 1967, who is also the father of the governor, Alh. AGF AbdulRasaq {SAN} OFR and Mutawallin of Ilorin).

‘’We are proud of the effort of our father Alh. AGF AbdulRasaq {SAN} and Mutawallin of Ilorin, who established the school and also was the first Lawyer from Northern Nigeria over the gesture which many have benefitted from and others are still enjoying, ‘’said the statement.

‘’We urge you to sustain the good work in the education and other sectors so as to move Kwara forward,’’ the group appealed to the governor.
