COVID-19: 292 Nigerian returnees from Saudi Arabia arrive Abuja

The Federal Government has received a batch of 292 stranded Nigerians from Saudi Arabia.

The returnees were flown to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Tuesday with a large number of nursing mother and children.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Geoffrey Onyeama, confirmed this on his verified Twitter handle on Wednesday.

He said the evacuees have all settled down in hotels for the mandatory 14-day quarantine.

The minister said the country has successful evacuated Nigerians from United Arab Emirate (265); United Kingdom (253) and the United States (160).

He noted that latest returnees bring to 970 the total number of stranded Nigerians who have been evacuated.
