The Nigerian Bar Association has commended Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje over his reappointment of Barr Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado for yet another term, as Executive Chairman of the State Public Complaints and Anti Corruption Commission.
This was contained in a statement issued by Chairman, Nigerian Bar Association Ungogo Branch, Barr Sheikh Mujiburrahaman in Kano and sent to Solacebase on Thursday.
Solacebase recalled that Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Wednesday reappointed Barr Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado as Executive Chairman of the Kano Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission for another term, as the first term expires next month, May.
It said Barr Muhuyi Magaji has no doubt earned this second term, going by the unprecedented achievements recorded at the commission.
‘’What differentiates Barr. Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado as a public officer is not only his zero tolerance to corruption but his sincere zeal to help humanity against the devastating monster, called Corruption,’’ said the statement.
‘’The branch however appreciates that without the quantum of independence given to the Commission by the Governor and the adequate funding, as well, Muhuyi would not have operated as excellently as he is doing.’’
‘’We pray that the reappointed Czar will be guided and shielded against the dreaded monster and all other evils in the discharge of this most onerous duty of his, in Allah’s name.’’
