Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 6 new cases of COVID-19 in Kano.
In a tweet by the Centre, at exactly 10.10 pm, it said the 6 cases were recorded on Friday.
Solacebase reports that with this, Kano now has 27 confirmed coronavirus cases, with one death.
Earlier on Friday evening Kano state commissioner for health, Dr Aminu Ibrahim Tsyanwa said the Co-Chair, of the state COVID-19 Taskforce, Prof. AbdulRasaq Garba Habib and three other members have tested positive to the disease.
This was contained in a statement issued by the ministry public relations officer, Hadiza Namadi and sent to Solacebase.
Also, the Chairman of Kano COVID-19 Taskforce and the state deputy governor, Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna tested negative when the result of his sample came out on Friday.
