Kano State Government on Friday directed all state-owned Tertiary Institutions to comply with Federal Government directives to closed down tertiary Institutions for four weeks effective from 23rd March.
The state Commissioner for Higher Education Dr Maria Mahmud Bunkure gave the directive in a statement on Friday.
The statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry Sunusi Abdullahi Kofar Naisa, and forwarded to Solacebase noted that the holiday became necessary as part of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus ( Covid-19).
Solacebase recalled that Kano state on Thursday directed primary and secondary schools to embark on four weeks break from Monday, 23 March as part of measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
In the statement, the Commissioner urged the good people of the state to continue praying for Almighty Allah to protect the State, Country and the World at large.
