Two senior Medical Doctors died in a road accident in Jigawa state en route Kano while another sustained head injury and chest pain.
The three Medical Doctors, Abubakar Abdulkadir, Abdulraheem Saliu and Abdulhafiz Abubakar left Nguru, Yobe state on Friday en route Kano but few kilometres to Gumel local government area in Jigawa state had a lone accident.
Speaking to Solacebase on Friday, the immediate past National Vice President, Nigerian Medical Association,Dr. Adamu Alhassan said Dr Abubakar Abdulkadir before his death was a Consultant Urologist with Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital and a visiting Consultant at Federal Medical Council Nguru, Yobe state.
The late Consultant who left behind a wife, a Senior Registrar (Endocrinology) at AKTH and children will be buried in his home town, Kaduna State tomorrow, Saturday.
Also, the former national executive member of NMA, said Dr Abdulraheem Saliu, a Senior Registrar Orthopaedics Surgeon with Federal Medical Centre, FMC Nguru in Yobe State similarly died in the accident while Dr Abdulhafiz Abubakar of FMC Nguru sustained a head injury and chest pain. He is already responding to treatment.
