FG Spends Over N2.7trn On Infrastructural Development-Osinbajo

Vice President Yemi Osibanjo on Monday said that the federal government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari has spent over N2.7 trillion on infrastructure across the country.

Yemi Osibanjo who is on an official visit to Kano stated this at the inauguration of  2.5 kilometres Aminu Alhassan-Dantata flyover in Kano.

He said President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration prioritize infrastructural development in the country.

He  commended Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for recording giant strides in infrastructural development,

Osinbajo said,“This bridge will surely facilitate free movement, especially for business purposes as it neighbors popular Sabon Gari commodity market.’’


Earlier, Governor Abdullahi Ganduje said the idea behind the construction of the bridge was to decongest the area, considering the importance and the rate of traffic in the area.

He said the flyover project was initiated by the immediate past administration and left at 25 percent completion stage.

Ganduje said ,’’When we came on board, we had to pay the sum of N500 million for the contractor to accept to continue with the project.’’

Solacebase reports that the Vice President in an address at the Emir of Kano’s palace appreciated Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for embarking on meaningful projects that are impacting  positively on the lives of the residents.

He commended the Emir Muhammadu Sanusi on his fatherly role of creating peaceful atmosphere in the state.
