Ganduje Names N1.9bn Flyover After Sheikh Qaribullah Sheikh Nasiru Kabara

Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Saturday named a flyover at Kofar Mata, in the metropolis, under construction after the leader of Kadiriyya Movement in Africa, Sheikh Qaribullah Sheikh Nasiru Kabara.

Ganduje announced this while speaking at the annual Islamic gathering of the Kadiriyya Movement,’’ Maukibi”.

He said the honour was in recognition of  Sheikh Qaribullah Sheikh Nasiru Kabara contribution of Islamic propagation and human development.

‘’The state government believe in recognizing people’s contribution even while they are alive for others to emulate. Hence, I implore you from time to time to check the ongoing work at the bridge and support the government with prayers,’’ said Ganduje.

Also, a statement issued by Director General Media and Public Relations , Kano Government House, Ameen K. Yassar on Saturday said the 170.55 length project which was awarded a few weeks ago has a completion period of six months, and at the moment work has reached 35% progress.

Solacebase recalled that this is the 69th edition of the annual Islamic gathering of the Kadiriyya Movement,’’ Maukibi in Kano, with attendees from various African countries including Kadiriyya Movement Leaders from Sudan.

In a remark, Senator, representing Kano north, Senator Barau Jibrin appealed to Sheikh Karibullah Sheikh Nasiru Kabara to upgrade the movement College of Education under construction to the status of a University.

Senator Barau Jibrin said it is encouraging with people of the Islamic Cleric according to education top priority promising to support the institution with the building of structures to meet the required standard.

He decried the situation of only 5 Islamic Universities in Nigeria with about 34 Christian Universities.
