The governor said ‘’after looking at the budget document this night, we will write to the State House of Assembly tomorrow Wednesday notifying them about our intention to present the 2020 budget to the House. After which, we shall, myself and all of you, go to the Assembly on Thursday and present the budget.’’

He reminded them that, people have high hope in them, which he urged them to dedicate themselves and see that they deliver, as being expected of them or even more than people’s expectations.

‘’Be more prudent and transparent in your dealings,’’ Ganduje made some specific demands of prudent management of resources, particularly those ministries that receive interventions from the World Bank and other development partners, to always make sure that they work hand in hand with their public servants for enhanced transparency and accountability.

Governor Ganduje urged them to also be very conscious of the issue of Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), reminding them that as Nigeria is moving away from dependence on oil, it is necessary to diversify the economy and find other sources of financing “…our budgets. All of you should be ready to accept this reality for the overall development of our state,” he directed.

He reveals that he has discussed with the state legislators that, when choosing constituency projects for their constituencies, they should give emphasis to education and health.
