The Jigawa State Operation and Coordinating office under Federal Government Special Investment Programme has conducted a community Ranking in eighteen local governments.
The State coordinator of the unit Malam Mustapha Umar said the Ranking was done in a scale-up of the previous nine local governments.
He explained that the exercise was conducted in preparation for the commencement of the Community-based Target schedule to start soon.
Malam Mustapha Umar noted that the aim of the exercise is to generate social register for future planning.
According to him, about six thousand three hundred and twenty-five communities were ranked in the eighteen local governments of the state.
Malam Mustapha Umar further stated that so far more than one hundred thousand poor and vulnerable households register was generated from Jigawa state adding it has been put into use by the Federal government.
