The re-elected President of Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture Alhaji Dalhatu Abubakar has appealed to other contestants to join hands in moving the council forward.
Alhaji Dalhatu Abubakar made the appeal in Kano on Saturday in his acceptance speech after the swearing-in of newly elected executives of the council that will pilot the affairs for the next two years.
He promised to sustain an open door policy where every member will be carried along in decision making, noting that transparency and accountability will be his watchwords.
Solacebase reports that the election conducted by former President of the Council, Alhaji Ado Muhammad and former Kano State Commissioner for Commerce Alhaji Ahmed Rabiu saw the emergence of Alhaji Usman Hassan Darma as First Vice president, while Alhaji Uba Tanko Mijinya emerged the Second Deputy President.
Others include Umar Haruna Isma’il, Vice-president Commerce, Husaina Ahmad Umar, Vice president Industry, Mustapha Bello, Vice-president Mines, and the former Vice President Publicity Alhaji Abdulazeez Sabitu Moh’d emerged Vice president Agriculture.
Also elected was Surajo Saida Sani, Vice President Property, Hassan Tahir Yaro, Vice President Corporate, Amina Ibrahim, Vice-President Publicity, Umar Ladiyo Ibrahim became Treasurer while Abubakar Adam was elected Deputy Treasurer.
