Youth Groups To Hold Special Prayer Session For Nigeria

A group of youths under the auspices of Arewa Youth for Brighter Future has revealed that it has slated the 21st of September 2019 as a day that members of the group that cut across different religious inclination would hold a special prayer for peace and justice to reign in Nigeria.

Disclosing this in Kano on Tuesday after the group’s executive meeting, Chairman Arewa Youth for Brighter Future Malam Bashir Muhammad Malna stated that, the date chosen by the group has been slated by the United Nation (UN) as the International Day for Peace adding that the group will seize the opportunity to use the day for special prayer session where members from all faiths will offer prayers for peace and justice to reign in the .

“We have planned for a special prayer session to hold in Abuja where 2000 youths Muslims and Christian will hold a special prayer session for Nigeria as a way of marking the World Peace Day. We are not oblivion of all the efforts that the Nigerian government is doing in ensuring peace and justice has prevailed in the nation. However, we strongly believe that there is also the need for special prayers and seek for spiritual protection and guidance,” he said.

He added that time has come for the younger generation to imbibe peace and justice as a tool for sustainable development in the nation stressing that, his group has seen the advantage of tolerance and peaceful coexistence, therefore will continue to advocate for peace and justice in all ramification of national development.
