Former Kano Central Senator, Bashir Garba Lado has debunked rumour of his being disappointed not appointed a Minister by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Bashir Garba Lado, an All Progressive Congress chieftain in Kano said his defection to the party from PDP was not based on appointment seeking or pecuniary gains but rather the belief in the principles of President Muhammadu Buhari and the party manifestos.
This was contained in a statement forwarded to Solacebase on Friday by Senator Bashir Lado’s Personal Assistant, Malam Ibrahim Khalil.
The statement said this was in reaction to some opposition group insinuating that Senator Bashir Garba Lado was disappointed with his name missing on the ministerial nominees’ list.
‘’ This was absolutely not true. For those who know Senator Bashir Lado ought to have known that his defection to APC was not for him to be compensated with a position, because he is a consummate politician who believes in serving the people and contributing to nation’s building, ‘’said the statement.
According to the statement, Senator Bashir Lado never granted an interview to any journalist either national or foreign complaining about the ministerial appointment.
It called on the Senator Lado’s supporters not to engage in any name-calling with any group as the success of the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration is his priority while affirming confidence in the leadership of the national chairman of APC and the Kano state chapter.
