London University Confers Honorary Doctorate On Emir Sanusi

The School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), the University of London on Friday conferred an honorary doctorate degree in Economics on Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II.

Solacebase reports that the university conferred the honorary doctorate on  Muhammadu Sanusi II and three eminent personalities across the globe that include Indonesian lawyer Nursyahbani Katjasungkana, a Journalist Lindsey Hilsum and a renowned editor, Margaret Busby

The 2019 University’s graduation ceremony took place at its campus in Bloomsbury, Central London.

The University President,  Graca Machel said Emir Muhammad Sanusi II is honoured as a leading figure in the world of finance.

In a remark, Emeritus Prof. Philip Jaggar who poured encomium on the Emir and extol his virtues spoke extensively in Hausa

Prof. Philip Jaggar said a long-standing relationship exists with School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, Bayero University Kano and Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Kaduna.
